My Life On Two Wheels: February 2012

Travelogue:
In my life, it is my first trip on bike and first trip on my own and dream bike, so no doubt in having bit excitement.. I was waiting for this day since I bought my bike, bze basically I love long drives on bike, even though it is around 200kms ride (in coming posts you can see my trip meter) I was eagerly waiting for the day.

Initially I planned to go with my room mate Avinash. But Since Kishore, Pradeep n joshi bro(My Friends) are also willing to come, so we planned to go together on sat'day early mrng.

But, since pradeep is having shift on sat'day. He wants to drop from the trip, But we don't want to miss pradeep. So we postponed our trip to Sunday mrng.

For me this is bit dissappointment, some how I controlled my feeelings till sunday mrng..

We planned to start at 3'o clk... Since Joshi can't get up early, he asked me to give a call once I woke up.By the time I called Joshi bro in the mrng around 2.45, for the first ring itself he answerd my call.. I thought Joshi won't get up untill I call for 20-30times. But thank god, he got up so early... :)

Within 40mins we got ready and started from Electronics city - Bangalore. Me and Avinash on my Apache-180 RTR, Joshi n Kishore were on Pulsar- 180, n Pradeep on
his Bajaj Wind 125..

Exactly we have started at 3.30AM on sunday. We have taken Electronics City -Silk board - Marathalli - Hebbal - NH-7 road towards HYD route.

I thought of filling petrol in the early mrng, to my bad luck there were no petrol bunks opened near by my place in the early morning, but I am sure 1-1.5ltrs of petrol is inside the tank. we are sure in Hebbal, petrol bunks operated 24x7. Since it was early mrng.. that too it was Feb, so temparature was around 15 C... my hands were freezing, but I was not bothering about the climate simply njyng my ridng. Since my bike was just ~15days old, 1st service is not yet over... So as per experts advice I was not supposed to cross 50KMPH. Bt experts advice didn't worked on me.. I wanna see my bike performance once.. Once I wanna touch 100+Kmph on my dream bike. So I accelerated, OMG... I felt the performance of apache-180, hardly in a 3-4secs it cached 100KMPH from 40KMPH. What a perf....
worth to ride and Proud to have.. ;)

Riding bike on NH-7 gave me awesome feeling. We have stopped exactly @ a place where we have to take left turn to reach Nandhi hills from NH-7, There we found a road side hotel n had hot hot coffee, With hot coffee our bodies got recharged and started riding towards Nandi hills.
After travelling 10 - 15mins, I started feeling very cold and as we were approaching the hill start point, temp was gradually decreasing. We have taken right turn to reach the Nandi hills at the circle where one way leads to the Nandi hills and another leads to the Nandi temple. The ghat road riding was awesome. I enjoyed my riding. The track has some nice elbow turns , It was bit dangerous to ride bike on ghat roads
that too in the night timings.

As we were approaching the top of the mountain the temp was gradually decreasing. By the time we reached a place which was ~5kms to nandi hills. I could see a traffic jam, since it was weekend and Nandi hills is best place to hangout on the weekends for the Bangloreans.

Once we crossed the check post, the remaining ~5kms road was awesome.By enjoying the road side nature we reached the nandi hills by 5.20AM. We parked our bikes and took entry tickets and had one more coffee and headed towards the peak of the mountain.

Kishore is having DSLR, without wasting anymore time, started taking the snaps.
I was super excited to see the clouds passing infront me. So I couldn't wait anymore and directly reached the mountain without bothering about the places around to see while climbing.

Almost 10-15mins walk we reached the peak of the mountain. OMG.... what a beauty, Literally it was unbelievable. I was standing above clouds.!!! The feeling itself was awesome.

We sighted the crowd of people who were standing at one side of the mountain. We just started moving towards them....

I was speechless. Aweeesomeee...literally It was simply superbbb... Sunrise was ultimate.... I have never seen such a sunrise till today in my life. We have taken snaps and enjoyed the nature. Since the crowd was huge we struggled a bit to take the perfect snaps, after enjoying the nature till 8'o clock, we headed towards the parking place.

I was not willing to leave the place, but since Avinash was feeling hungry and remainig all were forced me to get back. So I just said good bye to the place and took my bike and headed towards Nandi temple which was at the starting point of the hill, on the way back we had our breakfast.

While coming back to B'lre we took another route(via Vishweshwaraiah birth place), We have seen another temple on the way which was quite big. That was my first memorable trip to Nandi hills with my friends on my dream bike.
