Travelogue:
I could say this is my first trip where I missed my Bike. I hope this should be the first n last trip without my Bike. Since I was going with my colleagues who all are not a bike enthusiasts of long distances,so we planned to go by bus. Our plan was to go by bus till Gokarna and travel to Murudeshwar from Gokarna by booking a cab there. So we have booked our to n fro tickets from Bangalore to Gokarna one week befoere itself.

Bus suppose to pickup us at BTM layout, we have reached the pickup point 15mins before the bus start time. After checking with the corresponding traveller office guys about the bus arrival timings... they have given a shocking answer that bus has left pickup point just 10mins before we arrive. We started arguing with them that how can bus start not even giving a intimate call to the passengers. They asked us to catch bus in the next pickup point and asked us to take their another bus which was going in the same way.. for us it was like chasing the bus. Atlast we were able to catch the bus in city outskirts. After a over night journey we reached Gokarna by 6AM in the early morning.

Day 1: 9th June 2012
Gokarna is a kind of village.. I don't find any 3-4 floor buildings. Our plan was to stay near by OM or Kudle beach. So we have hired 2 autos to reach OM beach. Gokarna to OM beach was <10kms> distance. We have reached OM beach in 10-15mins. As soon as we got down from autos,we could see a very old house(only one) for which they mentioned it as "Lodging".

Since we were not having any other choice, some of our guys went and enquired about vacancy of rooms n all. Some of us went to see the view of OM beach. Since heavy rains in the coastal areas, sea at OM beach was full of mud. If it was in blue color, I must say it would be spectacular view of sea.

Can you see mirror image of OM symbol in this snap??

I just clicked some snaps and by the time my another group guys joined us and told that there were no vacancies in the lodge :(. We've thought of going back to Gokarna vilage/town and try for rooms there itself, but from auto waalas we have came to know that near Kudle beach we can find a nice lodge but they cost bit more. Then we decided to go Kudle beach. Initially we thought of going by autos, as auto waalas suggested Kudle beach is near by and if we started trekking we could reach there in less than an hour. Hmmmm.... So we planned to trek and started trekking with our heavy stomachs(not yet downloaded ;)).

The trekking to Kudle beach from OM beach was very nice. The path which was leading to Kudle was bit slippery because of the last night rain. The trekking path goes along the coast of the sea. Some places we have to climb hill and scenery from top of the hill was awesome.

After an hour of trekking we could notice a building near beach from far away . I have felt it's a nice place to hangout on terrace of the building by facing to sea shore :). Initially I thought it was some rich guys guest house. After reaching there I came to know that that is lodge and the place is "Kudle beach" :)

Kudle beach

Really it's a perfect place to chill-out. After inquiring with receptionist and all, we came to know that they were costing bit more. Since we were not having any other choice we decided to stay there itself and checked-in to 3 rooms. We got fresh-up and had breakfast in Kudle palace restaurant which is owned by lodging guys itself. Guys keep in mind that this hotel and lodge is not a budget hotel, but if you guys ready to spend money , this is the best place to enjoy beach environment. In this restaurant you can also booze.. you can get chilled beers too :)

It cost 150/- onlyyy....!! @ Kudle beach restaurant
As we have energised our bodies, now the turn is to enjoy in beach. As all other guys were busy in enjoying in beach, myself and another colleague started walking towards the other end of the beach. As we have reached the edge we could notice a village on a hill and started climbing that hill.

We both are photography freaks, we started exploring the place by trekking through hilly roads. After trekking almost 3-4Kms we have reached top of a hill.

Awesomeee...... !!! Actualy we were at top of the world, we could see 3 sides are covered with sea water and one side was hilly area. I feel like jumping from there into sea like "Hrithik" in Cinthol add ;).

Eye catching scenery

Spectacular view of Sea from top of the world :)

We were expecting good sunset view at Kudle beach. Since the whole beach was covered with dark clouds, we have missed the view of sunset. After that we had a nice walk on beach.
The day at kudle beach was full of enjoyment.

Day 2: 10th June 2012

As our plan for day2 was to visit Murudeshwar, we have already booked the cab from Kudle beach to Murudeshwar. Murdeshwar is a worth visit pilgrim place. We have reached Murudeshwar in 1 n half hour as it was 80Kms far from Kudle beach of Gokarna.

The majestic view of Shiva statue on the sea shore of Arabian sea you can see in below pic:)
We have spent some quality of time in murudeshwar and while returning back to Gokarna we have visited a waterfall.
