Day6: Alleppy - Varakala beach - Trivandrum - Kanyakumari

Day 6: Feb 5th 2013 
Route map: Alleppy - Varakala beach - Thiruvananthapuram - Kanyakumari

Travelogue:

It was "Sound sleep" night for me. "Body pains" caused by ride through ghat section were no more.

Last 5 days ride was through greenery..!! 
Now, following days are going to be "Beach time"..!! :)

Our route map for the day was "Alleppy - Varkala Beach - Kovalam Beach - Thiruvananthapuram - Kanyakumari"

As we had a very late start. we got hit by heavy traffic. because of that, the ride till Varkala was pathetic. Our average speed was 30-40Kms.

As we were nearing the beach, we could feel the rise in temperature. 
We soon realised that, next 5 days journey is not going to be like last 5 days. It's gone be completely opposite in terms of weather and sight seeing. 
Last 5 days has given chilled weather experience. Now it's going to be Hot experience. :) 

By noon we were able to reach Varkala Beach. It was always fun to be in beach. A we were about to reach Kanyakumari by night, we left the place within 1-2 hours.
Arun had a nice time in Beach with his half-knowing swimming skills :) :P

We've skippped visitng Kovalam beach and headed towards Thiruvananthapuram.
By 4.30 we were in Thiruvananthapuram. After crossing Thiruvananthapuram, we quickly had a snacks break. 
Like remaining ride, till "Nagarcoil" the ride was pathetic. It was double lane road with heavy traffic. On top of that, it was "high beam lights" directly focusing us. :( 

15Kms after Nagarcoil was the only road where we had good riding experience for the day. After an hectic ride of 260kms, at last By 9.30 we were able to reach "the southern tip of India- Kanyakumari".:)

The hunt for room has taken bit more time. at last we have ended up paying 1500/- per day for an AC room.

That was end of day and "our half of the trip". 

It was a check-in from "The Southern tip of India" :)
