Day 4: Feb 3rd 2013
Route map: Munnar - Thekkady wildlife corridor - Thodupuzha
Travelogue:
Munnar to Thekkady route was one of the best route of our trip.
Day4 has started with chilled weather. Some how we were able to getup and hit the road by 7'o clk to reach Thekkady.
For the first 30kms, road was not in good condition. Apart from road condition, it has covered with breath taking views of Western ghats and lush green tea estates.
Below is the route which we have taken.
After 30Kms, the ride was perfect. Remaining 60Kms of ride was one of the best ride till now.
It reminded me, one of the scenic places of "NeedForSpeed - HotPursuit" version :)
I felt like playing "MoToGP on NFS track :)"
We both were cruising at nice average speed and were gentle on curves of Ghat sections. As there was hardly any vehicle on this route, we were able to reach Thekkady boating place by 11'o clock.
During safari, DSLR helped us to sit on open deck of the boat.
Even though we haven't spot much of the wildlife, except Elephants and Birds, The safari ride was nice and memorable.
As we need to attend Arun's friend marriage/reception in ""Thodupuzha" which is 90kms far from Thekkady. We have finsihed our lunch in Thekkady and hit the road.
The remaining ride was much through villages of Kerala which has greenery everywhere.
It was fun riding through villages of kerala.
At last by 7.30PM we were able to reach the "venue".
Had dinner and headed towards the hotel booked by Arun's friend.
That was the end of Day 4. :)
